MISSION OPPORTUNITIES
Helping Haiti
Peace is planning another mission trip to Haiti Wednesday, June 24-July 1, 2020. If you are interested in participating, contact Peace office at 586-731-4120.
Peace's Haiti mission team has helped repair an orphanage, and we bought rice and beans to deliver to the people in surrounding towns and villages. We also worked with children in three different orphanages during previous trips.
Peace has also distributed eyeglasses to those who could not afford to purchase them. Six members of our Mission Team participated in a 5-hour training seminar, which enabled us to test the vision of people and then match them with free eyeglasses.
In addition to helping repair orphanages and restore vision, we provided toothpaste and toothbrushes, children's underwear and socks, as well as flip flops vitamins, soap, deodorant and lotions.
