Devotion for March 24, 2020
Romans 5:8 - “But God demonstrated His love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
How can you measure God’s love for us? With a ruler? No, it isn’t long enough! With a measuring cup? No, it isn’t big enough! With a scale? No, it couldn’t hold all the love! So how do we measure God’s love? With the cross. The cross is a precious symbol to us as believers in Jesus. It is a reminder of the love Jesus has for us.
Jesus took on His own humanity when He came to us as a baby, grew to be a man, taught and healed and led people, suffered and died on the cross. Jesus laid aside the power and glory that was His in heaven, instead coming to take away our sin. Our sin separates us from God, but Jesus brought us back to God through His death and resurrection.
Crosses are seen in many places. You see crosses at church and at school. You might have one in your home, or you might wear a cross. Let the cross always be a reminder that God loves you so much that He sent Jesus to be your Savior.
*How many crosses can you find today or this week?
Thank you for coming into the world to save sinners. Help me keep my mind and heart on what you did for me on the cross. Amen.

Hello, Peace Lutheran School Students, Families, and Staff!
Today is Tuesday, March 24, and this is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it!
Please check in frequently with your teacher, to keep up with assignments and activities, to ask for help when you need it, and to keep in close contact. Your teachers miss you!
Unashamed! Romans 1:16 reminds us of this - “I am not ashamed of the Good News about Jesus, because it is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes.” The Good News about Jesus is for you every day!
Peace family and friends, please remember who you are and whose you are. You are God’s special, beloved children. Have a wonderful day in the Lord.
Love from Jesus and us,
Mrs. Stathakis and Mrs. Quail
