March 20 - Devotion and Announcements
Devotion for March 20, 2020
1 Samuel 18:3 - “Jonathan made a covenant with David because he loved him as himself.”
Today marks the end of a week apart from your classmates, and you’re probably missing your friends very much. A friend is a wonderful blessing from God.
In the Bible, we read about a great friendship between two young men, David and Jonathan. They loved God very much, and they loved their friendship.
Very soon, you’ll be meeting up with your classmates through technology. You will get to hear them and see them, and that will be a wonderful reunion!
Thank you for my friends. Thank you for binding us together in friendship and Christian faith. Amen.
Announcements for March 20, 2020
Hello, Peace Lutheran School Students, Families, and Staff!
Today is Friday, March 20, and this is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it!
What new skills have you been working on? I have heard and seen many wonderful stories about creative things going on in homes over the past several days. With adult supervision, students have made homemade gifts and cards, mastered household tasks and skills, developed and baked recipes, and accomplished many more things of interest. Your teachers and classmates will want to hear about your interesting activities in the coming days!
Our theme is “Unashamed!” Romans 1:16 reminds us of this - “I am not ashamed of the Good News about Jesus, because it is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes.” Especially in these times of change and unusual circumstances, the Good News about Jesus is always the source of our strength.
Peace family and friends, please remember who you are and whose you are. You are God’s special, beloved children. Have a wonderful day in the Lord.
Love from Jesus and us,
Mrs. Stathakis and Mrs. Quail
