March 19 - Devotion and Announcements
Devotion for March 19, 2020
“Now devote your heart and soul to seeking the Lord your God.” 2 Chronicles 22:19
Your schedule has slowed down and you’re finding ways to fill it. Perhaps you’ve had an opportunity for more quiet time than usual. Quiet time allows you to think and wonder about your big thoughts. It can refresh you and help you understand things better.
In your quiet time, you can think about God. You can think about His greatness and His goodness. You can think about His creation and His eternity. You can think about His wonderful love for you. You can pray to Him.
When you have questions about God, you can read the Bible or other books about God, or you can ask your parents or your teacher. God wants you to learn about Him and get to know Him better and better. He loves you so much.
Where is your favorite quiet place at home? When do you like to go there to think and pray? God will bless your quiet time spent with Him.
We praise you because you are the Almighty God. You are so great and loving, and I want to know you better. Please help me to learn more about You. Amen.
Announcements for March 19, 2020
Hello, Peace Lutheran School Students, Families, and Staff!
Today is Thursday, March 19, and this is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it!
We hope you’re doing well and keeping busy. The internet is full of interesting at-home activities, some meaningful and some fun, to fill family time away from school. You’ve probably done some favorite old activities and devised some new ones. I’m sure the teachers and classmates will enjoy hearing about them in the days to come.
Please make sure you are establishing a routine that will provide for great learning time and great family time. It is very important that students devote their dedication and effort to making these weeks purposeful and successful.
Our theme is “Unashamed!” Romans 1:16 reminds us of this - “I am not ashamed of the Good News about Jesus, because it is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes.”
Especially in these times of change and unusual circumstances, the Good News about Jesus is always the source of our strength.
Peace family and friends, please remember who you are and whose you are. You are God’s special, beloved children. Have a wonderful day in the Lord.
Love from Jesus and us,
Mrs. Stathakis and Mrs. Quail
