March 18 - Announcement
Good evening, Peace Lutheran School Students, Families, and Staff!
Today is Wednesday, March 18, and this is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it!
It’s almost time for Peace Remote Learning to begin! It will be very helpful for you to establish, before the remote learning is rolled out, as consistent a pattern as possible to ensure optimal success.
If you could make all things run perfectly, your students would wake up excitedly each morning from a restful sleep, happily go through a daily home routine, and eagerly carry on school in a well-equipped learning station. They would focus on their lessons, do just as their school teachers and their home guides instruct, and gain mastery in every lesson, right on time.
While some days may go like that, others will probably not. Don’t be discouraged! You and your child will learn tips, tricks, and helpful habits as we go. This is a new experience for all of us, and we will work together to make it successful. Please take time now to talk to your children about best practices for remote learning, and make them your goal.
*Establish the daily routine with a reasonable schedule that will work most of the time.
*Set up a learning area that will have minimal distractions and appropriate supervision.
*Discuss the amount of help from others at home that will be useful and effective.
*Have necessary materials ready for student use.
*Plan for play breaks, outside time, snacks and meals, and family routines.
*Discuss your children’s duties in fulfilling their responsibilities as students.
Already, please practice the habit of checking the daily message and sharing the daily devotion.
Making your plan early, and planning for success, is the best way to get off to a great start! With family and school working together, this will be a positive and rewarding experience.
Our theme is “Unashamed!” Romans 1:16 reminds us of this - “I am not ashamed of the Good News about Jesus, because it is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes.” Especially in these times of change and unusual circumstances, the Good News about Jesus is always the source of our strength.
Peace family and friends, please remember who you are and whose you are. You are God’s special, beloved children. Have a wonderful day in the Lord.
Love from Jesus and us,
Mrs. Stathakis and Mrs. Quail
