March 16 - Ending the Third Quarter
Hello, Peace Lutheran School students, families, and staff:
Today is Monday, March 16, and this is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it!
Today marks the beginning of a new way of doing school. We are working hard to build capability for remote learning and will keep you informed throughout the time of closure.
Moving forward, we want you to have access to the latest and most accurate information from the school. In order to alleviate confusion, we will be posting all general announcements and information to the following page: peaceshelby.org/remote-learning Please begin the habit of checking this page for your information regarding Peace Lutheran School during our closure.
On our school calendar, the end of the 3rd quarter was scheduled for March 27. However, due to the mandated school closure, we will mark the end of the quarter as Friday, March 13.
*3rd quarter AR and memory grades that have not been fulfilled will be forgiven.
*Completion of work that was late or missing when school ended on March 13 is expected.
*Students have until 3:00pm on Wednesday, March 18, to submit images of work.
*Fast Direct parent view will be turned off on Wednesday, March 18, at 3:00pm.
*Report cards will be ready for family view on Fast Direct on Monday, March 23, at 9:00am.
*There will not be a paper copy of the report card sent home for the 3rd quarter.
Closing the 3rd quarter and preparing report cards will take us through the end of the week. Beginning Monday, March 23, students should check for their teachers’ assignments on these educational platforms:
*Preschool-Grade 2: Seesaw
*Grades 3-8: Google Classroom
Simple tutorials will be sent to you to help you use the system needed. If you have trouble with the site or have other tech issues, Miss Curley will be happy to help you. Questions may be directed to Miss Curley at: firstname.lastname@example.org Questions about a specific grade or class should be directed to the individual teacher. We very much appreciate your patience as we construct a remote learning plan to provide our students with meaningful education.
Our theme is “Unashamed!” Romans 1:16 reminds us of this - “I am not ashamed of the Good News about Jesus, because it is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes.” Especially in these times of change and unusual circumstances, the Good News about Jesus is always our source of strength.
Peace family and friends, please remember who you are and whose you are. You are God’s special, beloved children. Have a wonderful day in the Lord.
Love from Jesus and us,
Mrs. Stathakis and Mrs. Quail
