April 28 - Devotion and Announcements
Devotion for April 28
Devotion for Tuesday, April 28
(continued from yesterday) “In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.” (Ephesians 6:16-17)
What are you doing for exercise when it’s time to take a break from schoolwork? Do you like to GO on something with wheels? Biking, roller blading, and zipping around on a scooter are all fun activities that give your body great health benefits. But please don’t get on your wheels without a helmet! It is your brain’s protection against harm and injury.
God’s salvation is like a helmet, protecting you. His faithfulness is described as a shield against attacks, and His Holy Word is like a sword that goes on the offensive against the enemy. When you’re wearing His salvation, carrying faith in Jesus, and holding the Word of God inside you, you are ready to stand against the devil.
So, carry the shield of God, wear His helmet, and hold the sword of His Spirit. HIs power gives you His faith, His salvation, and His Holy Word.
*What’s your favorite set of wheels for fun and exercise?
*How does faith in Jesus protect you?
Thank You for giving us faith, Your salvation, and Your Holy Word to equip us for battle against the devil. You are victorious, so we are, too! Amen.
Announcements for Tuesday, April 28
Today is Tuesday, April 28, 2020, and this is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it!
Please join us at 9:30 tomorrow morning for Chapel. Our kindergarten students, assisted by their teacher, Ms. Willemsen, and their helper, Mrs. Nelson, will lead our worship.
The Chapel service will be posted on Peace’s Facebook page at 9:30am. You are encouraged to watch it as a family. If you can’t make it at 9:30, the recording will be available for you to view whenever it is convenient.
Unashamed! Romans 1:16 reminds us of this - “I am not ashamed of the Good News about Jesus, because it is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes.” The Good News about Jesus is for you every day!
Peace family and friends, please remember who you are and whose you are. You are God’s special, beloved children. Have a wonderful day in the Lord.
Love from Jesus and us,
Mrs. Stathakis and Mrs. Quail
