April 27 - Devotion and Announcement
Devotion for April 27
Devotion for Monday, April 27
(continued from Friday) “Stand firm, then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the Gospel of peace.” Ephesians 6:14-15 (Ephesians 6 will continue tomorrow.)
Has your footwear changed since you started going to school at home? Have you spent more time lately in shoes or slippers, boots or flip-flops? All of those are appropriate for different times and places. It all depends on where you are and what you’re doing. Whatever you’re wearing on your feet, it’s important that they fit well and that they’re appropriate for your activity.
God’s gospel of peace is like shoes well-fitted, ready to go! His truth is described as a belt fastened right around your middle. Righteousness is like a breastplate that protects your body and life. When you’re dressed in His truth, righteousness, and the gospel of peace, you’re wearing the armor of God.
So, put on God’s belt, breastplate, and shoes. God’s power gives you HIs truth, His righteousness, and His gospel of peace.
*What does your favorite pair of shoes look and feel like?
*How can you be ready to GO with God’s gospel of peace?
Thank you for giving us Your truth, Your righteousness, and Your faithfulness. Amen.
Announcements for April 27
Hello, Peace Lutheran School Students, Families, and Staff!
Today is Monday, April 27, 2020, and this is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it!
We are very thankful to the teachers for creating a great educational remote learning program. We are very proud of the students for keeping up with the lessons! We are very appreciative of the families for helping and encouraging their children’s education.
Unashamed! Romans 1:16 reminds us of this - “I am not ashamed of the Good News about Jesus, because it is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes.” The Good News about Jesus is for you every day!
Peace family and friends, please remember who you are and whose you are. You are God’s special, beloved children. Have a wonderful day in the Lord.
Love from Jesus and us,
Mrs. Stathakis and Mrs. Quail
