April 24 - Important announcements and Devotion
Devotion for Friday, April 24
“Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.” Ephesians 6:10-13 (Ephesians 6 will continue on Monday.)
In the next three devotions, we’ll read about the “Armor of God”, the power of God that outfits us for standing with Him Who defeats the devil. We are in a war, you and I. It is a spiritual war. One army is God’s, the army of His truth, righteousness, and faithfulness, His salvation, and His Holy Word. In battle against God is the devil’s army, which is nothing that God is but everything that He is not. The devil is deceit, evil, hatred, death, and eternal hopelessness.
The devil is strong. We, on our own, are no match for him. But thanks to be God; He has called us to be His, and we are in the battle with Him! Equipped with His power, and with Him leading, we will be able to stand against the devil!
*How is standing against the devil like being in a battle?
*How have you experienced God’s awesome, mighty power?
We praise You, and we are in awe of Your mighty power! Thank You, Thank You, for calling us to be Yours and equipping us to stand in battle with You. Amen.

Unashamed! Romans 1:16 reminds us of this - “I am not ashamed of the Good News about Jesus, because it is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes.” The Good News about Jesus is for you every day!
Peace family and friends, please remember who you are and whose you are. You are God’s special, beloved children. Have a wonderful day in the Lord.
Love from Jesus and us,
Mrs. Stathakis and Mrs. Quail
