Times arise in the lives of God's people that have special meaning in relationship to the church. We encourage you to make use of the services of your congregation at times of both joy and sorrow.

Please notify the church office well in advance of your intended wedding date. The date will not be set until the couple has read the wedding manual, met with Pastor and the church secretary, and made the necessary deposit. The pastor will want to meet with the engaged couple several times before the wedding in order to discuss the basic pillars of a successful marriage. Our wedding coordinator will meet with you to help plan your service. She will also help coordinate your rehearsal and wedding service, and assist you at both of them.
Please notify the church office at the time of birth so that the congregation may have the opportunity to rejoice with you on this special occasion and offer a prayer of thanksgiving to God, since baptism is important as a means by which God establishes His covenant even with infants. Please arrange for the baptism of infants very soon following the baby's birth. Parents are responsible to train the child in the meaning of the baptismal covenant. Baptism must be joined together with Christian education and worship.
When moving within our area, please notify the church office to insure that you receive the church mailings. If you are moving from our area, please contact the church office to receive information on Lutheran Churches in the area to which you are moving. You should transfer your membership as soon as you have moved into the new area.
Please notify the church office at times of special illness or especially of hospitalization. Even if you think that you are going to be in the hospital for only a few days to undergo medical tests, please let us know. Frequently the pastor, or an elder is making calls in or near a hospital and may not be aware that a member is hospitalized. Most hospitals do not have a resident list available for the clergy to see, nor do they notify the church when members are hospitalized.
If you would like to have Communion prior to surgery or at some other time during your hospitalization and illness, please notify the church office. You are invited to request prayers from the congregation for yourself and other loved ones, who are ill, hospitalized, or in special need of prayer.
Sometimes people may be confined to their home for a long period of time because of illness or injury. If you notify the church office, the pastor, or an elder will be able to call or visit you, and minister to you during that time. Normally bi-monthly calls are made to shut-ins to give private communion. Other calls are made as people indicate a desire and need.
In order to minister to you, it is important that you notify the pastor at times of critical illness or death of a member of the congregation. When making funeral arrangements for members of the congregation, please consider the church as a place for the celebration of the resurrection of our Lord and the hope of the life everlasting for those who die in faith in Christ.
We invite you to request the prayers of the congregation at all-important events in your life, whether times of joy and celebration, or of sorrow and crisis. Your brothers and sisters in Christ then have the opportunity to rejoice with you in your joy, to weep with you in your sorrow, and carry your needs or praise before the throne of God.
