HOW TO BECOME PART OF THE PEACE FAMILY

If you are new to Lutheran Christianity and have not been instructed in the Lutheran teachings – Discipleship Class is offered at least 3 times a year.  Discipleship Class is a six-week class presented Sundays at 9:45 – 10:45 am that offers an overview of the Christian faith and what Lutherans believe.  This instructional class is taught in an informal setting with ample opportunity for questions and fellowship.  All materials are provided.  Child care is available upon request.

Discipleship Class Sessions:

• Session 1 – “A God Who Cares For You”
• Session 2 – “A Bible Which Guides and Frees You”
• Session 3 – “A Savior Who Saves You”
• Session 4 – “A Spirit Who Converts You”
• Session 5 – “A Washing Which Cleanses You”
• Session 6 – “A Meal Which Feeds You”

If you are transferring from an active membership in a Lutheran congregation, you are not required to attend the Discipleship Class.  Contact your former congregation and ask them to send a “letter of transfer” to Peace.  You will then be invited to participate in a Discipleship Orientation Seminar.  The Discipleship Orientation Seminar is a seminar that covers the following topics:

• An overview of what we believe;
• An introduction to Peace’s programs and ministries;
• The expectations Peace has of its members;
• A tour of the facilities;
• An opportunity for questions.
